The law is pretty serious about carrying a loaded gun into bars and such places with crowds and alcohol. What is really crazy is that carrying a gun and firing it in a night club and shooting yourself carries about the same punishment as being part of an illegal dog fighting ring. It is a good thing that he did not shoot a dog; he might have gotten a life prison term.
Drug dealers don't get sentences this harsh.
He must not have put out enough money for a good lawyer.

I certainly believe the crime is punishable with a stint in jail. Night clubs aren't the place to come in like Yosemite Sam. It just seems to me that since they had a "big fish" on the line they stuck him hard since it became obvious a public figure would get huge press coverage to make an example for 'the rest of us'.

How's the surfin'?
Surfin' was great on my vacation (out of country). Other than that Florida has been flat. Oh well. The cold fronts should come in soon and push up the waves. You know, it gets sooooo cold here when the temps hit the 60's and low 70's.
