Random Rant

To all hipsters of Gen X and Gen Y: STOP WEARING VINTAGE 60's/70's CLOTHES. This just gives credence to the babyboomer's misguided belief that their generation is teh awesomest evaahhh.

I can't blame people for wanting to swim in the pond of nostalgia; for wanting to clothe themselves in the ugly crap they remember self-respecting adults wearing when they (the rememberers) were wee bairns.

Nowadays, Gen-X can take a little pride knowing that one of their own has streamlined the 'nostalgia/rarity/thrift store/Hot Topic' matrix. Some Gen-Xer has, no doubt, bought the license to reproduce every conceivable piece of old commercial artwork on clothing, and is ready to sell it brand-new at Hot Topic or Spencer Gifts. No mouldering for a decade in a hip, bohemian thrift store, slowly becoming a part of the twentysomethings' zeitgeist...

rockie- if nostalgia continues to be the trend I reeeeally hope that parachute pants make a comeback. That would be effin hilarious.

LT- dude I'm with you on the low life. It is by far the best cheap beer going. Plus you can throw back a twelve without feeling like you're gonna pop.
