RIP Mr. Francis, one of the last remaining folks from the original "Lost Generation". Can't say the last few babyboomers will be as missed as this man should be.

Thanks for the article. Incredible what this man saw across three centuries. Just think of all the long-deceased people from the "history books" that he was older than: Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Humphrey Bogart, Al Capone — RIP indeed.
It's truly amazing what he's seen. So much dies with him.
