I'm surrounded by idiots and sociopaths

Every time I leave the house I remind myself that I'll likely cross paths with a lunatic at some point in the day.
A scrap metal collector discovered a live 120 mm tank round while rummaging through trash outside a Cocoa home, said Barbara Matthews, police spokeswoman.

Matthews said the tank round was found amid piles of garbage and junk that were left at the curb after a tenant — who apparently collects military items — was evicted from a Hillcrest Drive home. This short street is located off U.S. 1 north of State Road 520, near the Indian River.

When I would see reports of something like this I used to think, What if I lived next door to that person??

But you know what? How do you know you don't?

And I think Florida gets an extra dose of the "unusual crowd" like California does, bec. of the weather. No freezing cold or ice or snow, no need for heating bills.

So people may tend to be a bit -- shall we say they are less inhibited?

Whatever the reason, I'm staying here for a while -- altho, there's enough crazy pants in D.C., too.

The problem with FL is when people get jammed up in their native state they say "fuck it, I'll move to FL".

We have a lot of other states' rejects here.
