St00pid gossipy shit

So Tiger Woods allegedly crashes his ride after fleeing his wife who had a few questions about an alleged affair Tiger's involved in. Funny, but the police had a few questions for the couple, too. But since he's a celebrity he's able to speak to police at his convenience.

This really is motivation to become famous. If I have another run-in with the law (the last time was 17 years ago when in college, so give me a break, I was drunk) I'm gonna tell them "Don't you know who I am? I'm Latchkey Man! I'll go to jail when I'm ready."

We'll see how well that goes.

Another GenX Fuck-up

Wow. If you're gonna run around on your spouse at least make sure she's pretty enough to not have to walk around on a leash.
ESPN analyst Steve Phillips had a fling with a 22-year-old production assistant, who, after being dumped, taunted his wife with "Fatal Attraction"-like phone calls and a letter that bragged about her sexcapades with Phillips while taking pot shots at their "loveless marriage," The Post has learned.

Once a dickhead, always a....

Kirk Cameron was a tool even when popular during his time on the set of Growing Pains. Him, and the weasel from Silver Spoons, were the two guys my fellow middle-schoolers and I would most wanted to take in a back room and slap around like a human pinata.

So I certainly got a hee-hee chuckle from this: (via LGF)

From the Department of Who Cares

Not that we didn't know we're old already.
Jason Priestley spent this weekend in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel to celebrate his 40th birthday! Has Generation X reached the threshhold of old!? Seems like not too long ago we said good-bye as they all graduated high school and moved onto the adult world. And this actor-turned-director has moved on. The Lake is his most recent project for TheWB.com which will air as a webisode online. He also has a wife and two kids.
I really believe if 90210 came out 10 years too early. It enjoyed huge success in the 90's but this would have easily become the biggest hit in Generation Y history considering how they celebrate celebrity/wealthy people culture.

Local Nightmare

Let this be the end of it. Hulkster and his now ex live locally, and us locals are bored of this drama. Regardless, I'll forever be a "Hulkamaniac".
The 55-year-old celebrity wrestler — whose real name is Terry Bollea — said in court Tuesday morning that he and his wife, Linda, have agreed to the terms of the split. The divorce was finalized during a brief hearing.

Both say they want to put aside months of bitterness and get on with their lives. They and their attorneys had publicly clashed over everything from money to Linda Bollea allowing her boyfriend to drive the couple's vehicles.

Cold feet? More like frost bitten feet.

Even paying 2 mil for the wedding couldn't keep him in the chapel.
Most weddings go off without a hitch. But every once in a while, the blessed event gets a surprise twist. This past weekend, NBA star Richard Jefferson's wedding left guests asking a big question: "Where the heck is the groom?"

Brat Packer has brats

Yay Molly...

Ringwald, 41, and her husband Panio Gianopoulos, welcomed daughter Adele Georgiana and son Roman Stylianos after a natural birth on Friday, July 10 in Los Angeles, according to People .

This is circa 1977 babyboomer behavior

But GenXsters can be degenerate bums, too.
Former Playboy model Shauna Sand cheated on ex-husband and soap opera star, Lorenzo Lamas, with his then-18-year-old son, A.J. Lamas, Star Magazine reports

Eddie Van Halen dropped that penny and picked up a dime

Wow. She's smokin' hot. Hopefully this will piss off his ex.

(I'm one the the 50 million GenXsters that started playing guitar because of Ed)

From the back of the limo to the front

"Nails" gets hammered.
Former New York Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra has sought bankruptcy protection in Los Angeles, citing more than $31 million in debts.

Federal court documents show Dykstra filed for Chapter 11 status on Tuesday. He listed assets of $50,000 or less and liabilities of between $10 million and $50 million.

Clueless writers should have their keyboards taken away

Here we have an idiot that makes it seem as though before last week's Farrah and Michael Jackson deaths, Generation X was just an immature bunch that played in sandboxes with toy trucks and Barbie dolls.

Although I don't consider myself a "Pillar of Maturity" I'm sure I was more grown up as a 5th grader than a typical baby boomer at a similar age. I know I'm not a alone with this thought, either. Fuck, a good portion of us went home to empty houses after school and had to make our food and manage our time much earlier than other generations still alive today.
"These people were on our lunchboxes," said Gary Giovannetti, 38, who grew up on Long Island awash in Farrah and MJ iconography. "This," he said, "is the moment when generation X realises they're grown up."

It was a long time coming. Cynical, disaffected, rife with attention deficit disorder, lost between boomers and millennials and sandwiched between Vietnam and the war on terrorism, gen X has always been an oddity. It was the product of a transitional age when we were still putting people on celebrity pedestals but only starting to make an industry out of dragging them down.

NOTE: I love how this clown quotes 1 GenXster and then tries to make his point around it. As though Gary Giovannetti has been appointed by us as our official spokesman.

Also note how this asshole somehow wants to attribute today's "Celebrity Culture" to Gen X. WTF? Any fool knows that Gen Y members Britney, Justin Timberlake and Paris Hilton not only deserve the credit for this, they also want the credit for this.

Pathetic. Tragic.

His life has been both. Like a lot of us from Generation X.
Boxer Mike Tyson has married for a third time, two weeks after his 4-year-old daughter died in a tragic treadmill accident.

The owner of the La Bella Wedding Chapel at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel-casino told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the former heavyweight champion and his bride, Lakiha Spicer, exchanged vows Saturday in a short, private ceremony.

Please. Just stay in hiding.

Some are noteworthy (Slick Rick, Fugees). Most on this list just need to remain trivia questions.
When 2010 rolls around, the ’90s will be 20 years old. Twenty years since we were all ripping our jeans, refusing to wash our hair, and crying over Izzy leaving Guns N’ Roses. So while you stand in line for your Phish tickets wondering how long ago Kurt Cobain died (15 years) and trying to remember who sang that song “I Touch Myself” (it was the Divinyls), here’s a brief update on some ’90s artists who won’t be on the comeback trail this summer.

I'll still stick to Stewart and Colbert

Even though David Letterman is a boomer I feel he is more Gen X than even most GenXsters. Including Conan.
We'll get a glimpse tonight at whether the East Coast, Harvard-educated comedy writer can build on NBC's ratings lead over CBS competitor David Letterman.

NBC is betting that O'Brien, 46, will expand his audience at Letterman's expense, but others aren't so sure. The competition for viewers includes more than the wry and experienced Letterman.

He earned this beatdown

Jose Canseco is a rat. Less than a rat, even. He's the next lower thing on the food chain, whatever creature that may be. He tattled on his former teammates for their (and his) steroid use to sell a book. But he's not a liar as nothing in his book has been proven inaccurate and it's become one of the most important documents in modern baseball history.

Regardless, not many in baseball feel upset when they saw this.
In his first foray into Mixed Martial Arts, Jose Canseco was pummeled by a 7-2, 330-pound grand champion of sumo, Hong Man Choi of South Korea, during a MMA show earlier Tuesday at Yokohama Arena in Japan.

The admitted steroid user and whistle-blower entered the ring hauling a baseball bat over his right shoulder and was accompanied by his girlfriend and publicist, Heidi Northcott, who tossed baseballs into the crowd as they slowly descended a ramp toward the ring. Canseco, 44, would have been wise to use the club against his opponent.

Hate when they don't say what kinda car they were in

I'm a bigger fan of him after this. I collect speeding tickets like baseball cards.
The 44-year-old actor was stopped Dec. 30 on Interstate 91 while driving 106 mph in rural Northern Vermont. Because of the excessive speed, he was also charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Happy late birthday, SL8R

Yep, this is pathetic 'man crush' time, but Kelly Slater, the greatest surfer ever to walk on H2O turned 37. Did I mention he's from Florida?

Know who else was born in 1972, surfs, calls Florida home, and shaves his head down to stubble? THIS GUY!

Hard to find a hero

Alex Rodriguez fessed up today for using steroids and I'm finding it hard to care. We grew up in an era where 'Vitamin S' seemed to be used by many and easy to attain by all, so I'm pretty unaffected by this confession that has no bearing on my life. It was just 'there' and a reality for us at the time.

There's alota blah, blah, blah about him being a role model for kids but I think Charles Barkley said it best in the commercial below: "Just because I dunk a basketball doesn't mean I should raise your kids". Really, our country has bigger concerns than an athlete sticking needles in his ass.

Where they at these daze

In case you're wondering where the Top Gun crew are now here you go.....yeah, I had a suspicion you didn't care either.
