Not my cup of tea, but my daughter and hubby both have motorcycles. They promise me that they are very careful.
K-Very tightly wound. I'm Type-A to the core, so sometimes I just hafta let loose.
BB- gotta wear gear. I never throw a leg over the bike without my helmet, boots, armored jacket and gloves.
My husband and daughter are actually very safe and have all the right gear. Here is a photo of my daughter's bike

It is small, but just right for her. My husband's bike is bigger, but older and needs constant tinkering.
BB- your daughter is doing it right. Complete gear. Believe me, it does make a huge difference when you crash. Even at highway speed. That's a great little bike she has, too.
