And, wow, you're on vaca from work at just the right time, huh? ;)
I've never tried surfing. Years ago, my little brother gave it a try and rubbed his nipples raw dragging himself up on the board. It was a deterrent for me.
Last year my daughter took lessons while in Hawaii - the photos http://skybag.blogspot.com/2008/05/surfing-hawaii-usa-day-2.html are pretty funny. She is wearing someone else's clothes and they are way too big for her - she said something about safety issues.
That's not me in the pic, he's a local dude. I got lucky yesterday. Most of the time I take a day off it's flat in the gulf.
BB- Those pics are awesome. She has really good form. Most newbies forget to bend their legs and try to stand straight up. BTW- that is the biggest board I've ever seen. It looks like a garage door!
