Yeah, they're pretty fuct

I have a bad feeling they're gonna grow up all Mad Max. What's that stoopid boomer song "teach your children well".
This is perhaps the one issue that angers me more than all of the others that have sprung up over the last year. I have two boys, ages 4 and 2, and they are getting ROYALLY SCREWED right now. I often wonder what kind of future my boys will have in this country. I've even thought(though not seriously yet) about moving my family out of the country so that I don't have to wonder about their future.

Most parents worry about their children growing up in such a sorry world, but they rarely make any major changes in how it is all done. As if what was good enough for the parents must work for the kids. I call it the spiral down theory.

Spiral down or flush down?

I am totally putting Icepick Jr. into training so he's prepared to kick Humongous' ass in the Mad Max Future. That said, I'm still with the President on this — I have no problem spending the money and investing in training, health care, education, etc. for The Kids and The Future, spending that largely seemed absent, unnecessary and ignored for our generation (and look how we turned out — largely self-taught and always in survival mode, jammed as we are between two domineering generations that have little use for us).

What he's proposing will lead to the growth that will pay off this debt and then some. Without it, then that toilet-spiral continues downward.

If we skip doing this, then what kind of future are we leaving all the Mad Max Juniors? So they'll be debt-free and ignorant and poorly prepared to compete globally?

Of course, this all presupposes that most of us make it through the Crisis of 2020 and we're not all fortified around a compound with Mel Gibson driving a rusted out tractor trailer, Feral Boy at his side.
