One of my girlfriends got a Mustang for graduation in about 1976 after Ford changed the car quite a bit - it was a piece of junk, but it was still cooler than my 63 Chevy pickup truck.
I guess the ol "grass is always greener" -- because to me, a pick-up would have been cool, I had a goofy little beat-up Volkswagen.
