You can keep the drugs...

But don't ya ever take away sex and rock and roll (or Punk or Rap)
Boomers coined the phrase sex, drugs and rock & roll. They moved through the 1960's and into the 1970's with "free love." Drugs became a part of the culture and boomers grew up in one of the most exciting time in music history - the explosion of rock & roll.

Life as a Generation X teenager in the 1980's was much different than that of a boomer. It was great, but there was a shift.

Drugs were definitely part of rock and roll. But what really sucked is when they got sober! ex. Aerosmith
