I know there's a lot of whackos in my state, but it's worth dealing with the weird to be able to surf in January. Hell, in California it's even cold during summer months. Baby. Come a few states farther north...and the northwestern part at that.
Yeah, weren't you wearing a wet suit or something? Don't they keep you warm? (Sigh.) You're going to be a fussy old person.
But I am glad you found the good part of Florida. And don't forget the palm trees, they're pretty cool, too!!
I'll stick to FL and further south. The water is currently 62 degrees and we wear wetsuits.
I once spent part of my July in LA and nearly froze to death. No thanks. I think I will stay in frozen OK. What am I sayin'!
Cold hurts. I'll stick with melting in the heat and finding weird sun spots on my shoulders.
