Girlfriend and I jumped in the car yesterday morning with an open mind on where to spend Valentines Day. Besides a must needed piss stop the first exit we took was Venice Beach, FL. Beautiful town, lots of annoyingly trendy shops, nice homes, decent beach but what a complete babyboomer hell. Silver hair, botox and Viagra smiles walked up and down each block while they're still mobile for the next decade or two.
We ended up driving to Sanibel Island (shell capital of the world), wandered around for a bit, and then settled at Ft. Myers Beach for the night. Good times indeed.

Gee, what a lovely pic. you paint of Venice Beach!!
Have heard that Ft. Myers is really nice -- how come the "adult community" hasn't made it there yet?
(And don't worry, one day you and the missus will be elderly and have your grandkids make fun of your old self, too!)
Kath
hahahaha. funny about botox, etc.
FMB - nice! I've been there once, many, many moons ago.
Kath- the "adult community" is in every town in FL. It's just a matter of the degree of "adult community".
