This is how you undermine your argument when complaining about a School Board member referring to some students as "hoodlums".
"They might be disruptive. They might be in gangs. They might be many things, but they are not hoodlums," Brown said. "I feel that that statement showed insensitivity to our children, and it certainly did not offer good guidance to our staff."

In the teacher's lounge, we used to come up with nice things to say about the students for parent/teacher conferences. Like: Your son is a fast learner; he will probably do very well in prison...
